And here we are. 150 weeks ago the first Weekly Report appeared. Every week we informed you about the progress of work on Chernobylite, when it was released in Early Access. We presented you the backstage of the game's development, the secrets of the development of games in general, as well as numerous curiosities related to Chernobyl. Yes, there's been a lot going on, and we've got some exciting weeks ahead of us.
With the launch of Chernobylite’s Season 3, you received a surprise from us in the form of a new weapon - the legendary Soviet-made pistol - Makarov. It looks inconspicuous, but with some modifications it can become a deadly piece of equipment. And we wouldn't be ourselves if we didn't add some magic to it ;)
We looked through many of your comments on Steam and on our social media, and we came to the following conclusion: Gate of Madness is giving you a hard time. We warned you several times, but you didn’t believe us. But have no fear! We aren’t heartless monsters that will leave you alone to face such a cruel fate.
We promised you new content throughout the year, and we kept our word. This time we give you another package with a new map, new weapon and a new gameplay mode, plus additional fixes and optimizations that you asked for.

That is why we decided that it is time to shed some light on what we have prepared for you. We'll start with something that made our team scream profanities and smash keyboards on the wall. Not because we're uncultured or something like that. It's all to do with the new difficulty level. Because with something like Gate of Madness, the Insane level sounds like a walk in the park on a summer morning.
In some of our previous publications we’ve been comparing the real world Chernobyl and its surroundings to what you can see in the game. Throughout this process we devoted a lot of space to the most famous locations near the famous power plant. But there is also one other location that plays a fairly important role in Chernobylite. For some reason it didn’t gain the notoriety it deserved. And it’s a shame, because Kopachi is a unique place and its history is worth knowing.
